Elder Law - NY
As America’s population ages, more and more individuals are confronted with issues involving incapacity and long term care. George Gray has developed expertise in Elder Law practice and is familiar with the intricacies of the Federal Medicaid rules and the strategies allowed under those rules. The first thing the Firm discusses with our Elder Law clients is the preparation and use of a current Power of Attorney and Health Care Proxy. The Firm has created “Income Only” Medicaid Trusts and has participated in the strategies involving re-titling of assets and Medicaid qualified promissory notes. We include as part of the planning team not only the elderly person facing long term incapacity but also their children in their efforts to assist those elderly parents. We often work collaboratively with insurance advisors, financial advisors, accountants and service coordinators to provide the most effective and comprehensive plan to meet our client’s needs as they age.
Our Firm’s priority is to develop a plan to fit each client’s unique family needs. Its focus on quality service insures legal advice and representation which meets its client’s individual needs and planning goals. The size of our Firm and the energy and “hands on” attitude of its attorneys differentiate us from larger firms.
Our attorneys will gladly meet the family and client at home or other locations if the client cannot travel to our offices. Our offices are located in a newly renovated building that is completely handicap accessible, and in a safe, suburban location with ample free parking.
